Saraswati Vandna - Jay Jay He Bhagwati

It is Navrathri time...And many of us would start searching the web for Saraswati songs either for ourselves or toteach our kids. I love this song 'Jay Jay He Bhagwati' which we used to sing as a community song at school in our morning assembly. But I could not find the lyrics or the complete song anywhere. Hence this - had fun singing and creating this video..., I hope this movie would bring a smile to at least a few faces...
Please comment if there are any spelling mistakes...

Aattukal -Amme Narayana

I have always been very passionate about music. I admire and adore musicians from M.S. Subbulakshmi amma , K.J.Yesudas to the reality show contestants. Thanks to my dad's encouragement and motivation, I have sung at school, college...any 'open house' opportunity - was never deterred by the much better singers around! I did learn some carnatic music (from 'chinna kuyil' K.S.Chithra's school music teacher Lakshmi Ammal in Karamana who says I should teach music) and have been able to amuse family and friends. Have even won a prize form M.G. Sreekumar and a couple of good comments from 'saptha swarangal' A.V. Ramanan and 'Pattukku Paattu' Abdul Hameed. However, it has never been perfect and neither did I pursue further to make it perfect or professional... Recently, I tried online classes for a short time hoping that I would understand all about thaalam and could decipher the notes for any song but the teacher said "athu paada paada thaanaa varum"...dont know how or when :). In short, I love to sing and long to sing better. But thanks to Youtube, even amatuers can broadcast their music...no questions asked. This is a dedication to those like me - to inspire them to sing... Starting with a small devi sthuthi on 'Attukaal Amma' While singing this I am taken back to attukaal temple in Thiruvananthapuram...My friend and I used to go regularly on Sundays for the 7 AM 'deeparadhana' (so hard to even believe now...) sometimes by the KSRTC city bus from Karamana Sivan Kovil stop, sometimes on our cycles (ho , the slope by the Homeopathy College was the toughest) and then later on by our two-wheelers. And after a long time was lucky enough to be there in 2007 during Pongaala ...the whole city had a festive look with ligthings and decorations by the local associations/clubs around... Enjoy my music and slide show on Youtube. Amme sharanam!
